Feeds in an E-mail Signature? Whaaaa?

Ever want to include your feed into your e-mail signature as an animated gif? Well, you probably didn’t think of it in those exact terms but I am sure that now you’ve read it you’re saying, “yeah, how can I do that?” If you’re not saying that, well, I don’t know what more I can do to impress you (would a bicycle wheelie work?). For those that do want to know how to add your feed headlines to your e-mail signature please read on.

First off you are going to need to head into the publicize tab of your FeedBurner account. Once there, click on the Headline Animator button on the left. Now you will see you have a choice, via a dropdown menu, of animators. Choose the animator under the heading E-mail Signature (480x82 White Background). Scroll to the bottom and save the changes. Once you save the changes you can add the html code to your e-mail signature in your e-mail (or anywhere else for that matter). If you need help adding it to your e-mail program please check out a tech tip on how to add the e-mail signature animator to a variety of e-mail clients.

This is a great way to promote your feed with every outbound e-mail you send. Promotion with no extra work = excellent!
