FeedBurner + MySpace

Ever wanted to add your feed to your MySpace account or allow other to add it to theirs? Well, now you can and it is super easy. We’ve partnered up with Fox Interactive Media’s SpringWidgets which allows all FeedBurner users to create a branded widget (yup, you can add your logo!) for use in many places including MySpace. There are four easy steps to creating your widget:

  1. Create a 480x75 pixel image in JPEG form and host it on the Web; FeedBurner has a sample image you can practice with.
  2. Visit the Publicize tab for a feed in your FeedBurner account and activate the “SpringWidgets Skin” service by providing the web address for your image.
  3. Once the service is activated, follow the link to the SpringWidgets page to finish customizing the widget to your liking.
  4. Under the “Share your widget” section, click on the icon for your web publishing service and follow the steps to add the widget to your page.

Underneath the widget a link will appear that says “Get this widget!” which other users can click on and add the widget to their desktop (software required), MySpace page, etc. All a user has to do to add the widget to their MySpace page is:

  1. Follow the get the widget link

  2. Size the widget the way they want

  3. Click on the MySpace logo and add their username, password, and where they want the widget placed on their page then submit.

The beauty is that the MySpace user can add your feed to their site without ever seeing a piece of code or having to head into their MySpace account. Pretty slick, eh?

For more information on the SpringWidgets skin please take a look at the overview we put together.

Widget on! Oh, and be sure to check out our rockin’ widget below and perhap even add it to your MySpace (or should that be YourSpace…).
