FeedBurner publishers can now display Google AdSense for Content ads on the feed-powered content appearing on their web sites.
If you’re fairly new to the brave new Internet world, you might not be familiar with AdSense, one of the easiest and most popular ways to monetize the content on your website. AdSense matches ads to your site’s content, and you earn money whenever your visitors click on them. The ads are precisely targeted to your site so the content is relevant to visitors. And the ads can be customized to match your site’s look and feel, so they fit right in. (View a sample screenshot from Chaz’s YOGAmazing site).
Now you can increase your revenue potential by taking advantage of underserved ad placements on your feed-powered site content. More ads can help you earn more revenue.
Ads from AdSense for Content are inserted by the FeedFlare <script> you may already have on your web site. If you have installed FeedFlare, FeedBurner site stats, or FeedBurner Ad Network ads on your site, no changes to your web site template are necessary — just check the box and save, and AdSense for Content ads will be inserted automatically.
Based on your selection, FeedBurner will insert a 300x250 or 468x60 pixel AdSense for Content text or image ad unit wherever you install the FeedFlare <script>. The 300 x 250 ads look like this:

Nope. This service is currently available to members of FAN and all manner of FeedBurner publishers who go >bump< in the night, but haven’t yet joined FAN. (Note: If you have enabled FeedFlare for your site, you’ve already added the magic code that makes these ads go where they need to go, so connect your account to AdSense on the Monetize tab and you’re ready to earn!)
Publishers participating in the FeedBurner Ad Network will continue to see, approve and get paid for feed and site ads. AdSense for Content ads will be inserted on your web site only when no FAN ads are available for that space.
The process will be easy if you are already an AdSense publisher - however you must go through all the steps of linking your FeedBurner account to AdSense before your ads will begin to appear. First, follow the “Sign into AdSense” link. On the following screen, enter your AdSense login (the email address you use to login) and either your zipcode or the last five digits of the phone number on your AdSense account. After getting the screen saying you have successfully linked your account, you will receive an email from Google AdSense to the email address on your AdSense account. You must click on the confirmation in the email before ads will begin showing on your website and you start earning revenue.
No problem. You can sign up for AdSense directly from the FeedBurner interface. Enter the email address you would like to be your AdSense login and follow the instructions in the email that follows.
It may take up to one week for your AdSense application to be approved. In many cases it takes a shorter time. If it has been a week and you have not received anything, please contact Google AdSense support.
Never fear. Login to your AdSense account, My Account tab, Account Access link, select “grant access” for www.feedburner.com. This does the same thing as clicking the confirmation link in the email.

If you have successfully linked your valid AdSense account and given www.feedburner.com access via the confirmation email or the “My Accounts” tab on the Google AdSense website, ads should begin to show almost immediately. If you are testing your own site, you may see a PSA (Public Service Ad) the first time you hit the page. If you have disabled PSAs on your AdSense account, you will see a blank image for a few minutes.
Yes, you can! Your custom channels will be imported into the “Configure Ads” page automatically and you may choose a channel to attach to the ads that will appear. URL channels attached to the pages in which your ads run will track these ads as well.
It may take up to 30 minutes for changes to your ad layouts to take effect.
You will be paid for the Google AdSense ads directly by Google AdSense in accordance with the Google AdSense Terms and Conditions. This is separate from any payments through FeedBurner Ad Network. Please also note that the Google AdSense program automatically targets ads that are relevant to your page content and that these advertisements are not available for review.
