Saturday Subscriber Count Drop?

If you saw your subscriber count drop precipitously in your Saturday, November 3rd summary from FeedBurner, the reason is that specific subscriber stats from Google Feedfetcher were offline because this service was apparently out late with friends on Friday night, and well, it completely slept through Saturday. It appears to have rallied, however, and amid firm declarations of "I'm never doing that again", Feedfetcher has started diligently reporting subscriber numbers to us, early this morning Pacific Time. FeedBurner publishers' subscriber counts should be closer to what you'd normally expect starting with reports that will be available on Monday morning.

Whew! I did a double-take when I saw my subscriber count today... I kept thinking what in the world I could have written to drive away so many of my readers. Thanks for clearing that up!

Oh good... i thought half of the world was gone... :P

A little relieved now. I was beginning to think my blog really did suck.:) Thanks for the information.

Thanks ;)

Yeah, same with me. 'What did I do wrong?' question was swirling around in my head...:)

thanks a lot for being proactive and blogging this, much appreaciated! solid support is hard to find.

Hmm I didn't notice the drop, thanks for the update guys and gals, you're doing a great job

thanks for the update. I was wondering the sudden drop of my feedburner counter :)

My subscriber count went up by a few o_O. That mean when it gets fixed its going to drop again? Doh.

Dropping from 90 to 60 freaked me out. Glad to see it was a glitch and not my content.

Thank you for the explanation. I was really surprised of the count drop last night.

Ahhh, ahora si.
Por un momento me asuste al ver la baja en la cantidad de suscriptores.

Yikes! I thought I'd really offended my subscribers somehow.

Thanks :)

Thanks for letting us know.
That should explain the drop

Thanks :-)

So glad I saw this!!

Thank God! I thought I offended half my readers or they finally figured out my blog is crap.

Thanks for clarifying

you guys are on the ball! thanks !

That's good to hear. I was just moments away from jumping out the window when I saw how low my count was.

I pulled my chicklet in anger. Glad to see this but beginning to think I may rely on these numbers too much!

Danke für die Info. Im ersten Moment dachte ich wirklich meine Feed-Abonnenten wären dahinter gekommen, dass mein Blog gar nicht so gut ist ;-)

Nein im Ernst. Danke für die Info und für den guten Service.

I suspected as much, seems it's got over its hangover as sciencebase.com is back up to 2600 this morning, thankfully

db

I have about 30 readers on aberage, half the world could be gone and I won't notice

Thanks for the Informations

It's fixed. Thank you. My ego feels much better now!!!

Whew! I was kind of scared there for a moment!

About 800 readers was gone! Now they are back!

Glad to see everyone had the same attack of insecurity I had! Thanks for the info. Feedburner rocks!

Whew! I tried something new with my last post and thought I cost myself 1/3 of my readers!

Thanks, I was beginning to feel like I was living in a parallel universe. Where was everybody? Thanks for letting us know!

WOW, thanks for letting me know this. I was worried it had something to do with those pictures of me. They scare people I think... lol

wow, I thought my readers had deserted me. Good to know that everythings ok !!

I hope the server had a good time, at least. ;-)

mine dropped again today! from 1400 to 800! yikes!

Did this just happened again today?

Hmmm, Is it possible that it is affecting the subscriber count once again today? (November 9th)

I experience a similar drop on Monday and Thursday as well. Did anyone else get drops then too?

It looks like, as of Nov 9, Google Feedfetcher has been "out with friends" again.

Even after swearing never to do it again, this is the second "episode" in a week.

Perhaps it's time for an intervention?

The first step is admitting that there is a problem.

It looks like Google Feed fetcher was out late again last night...

Hmmm, seems like a good time, I'll have to start partying with him!

is this happening again? I saw another serious drop Wednesday, and an even worse one last night.

i think he is out partying again..

Damn those benders! How about today I saw my subscriber drop about 30% again...

We had a 60% drop last weekend and then went up 10% above and now we are down again.

Its like playing the ponies... What up with that?

AskTheAdmin.com Free Tech Support For The Masses!

Problem is back today.

And it's happened again today it seems :) Down 50% again here from yesterday's.

Did it happen again - my ego bubble just burst with a 40% drop in subscribers!!!!
