Headline Animator Overhaul, Part Three and One-Eighth
Faithful readers are most likely aware of the minutiae that concern us here at FeedBurner inter-agency headquarters, especially when it comes to new features and notable drama such as "We're running low on decaf and 2% milk. OMG!" Today's enhancement to Headline Animator, the FeedBurner service engaged in a renovation comparable to the Dan Ryan expressway reconstruction project (minus the many reflector barrels), is all about expanding the reach of your content and making things look how you want them to look.
Place Your Content in More Places, Easily
It has been suggested by considerably more than seven of you that we should offer new capabilities to help grow your audience, and that's exactly what we're committed to doing with Headline Animator. It now features step-by-step instructions for placing your content on your MySpace page, a TypePad, Blogger or WordPress.com blog, a bunch of email programs, and "Other," a category we reserve for those interesting places whose names aren't reflected in the drop-down menu.

Word Wrap
Not everyone appreciates the sangfroid of a compact headline (note this post). For you and us, caution may be thrown to the wind by applying word wrap to individual post headlines. Word wrap is turned off by default so as not to potentially overwrite any background text, but since you know your Headline Animator better than anyone you may activate it by clicking a simple checkbox if the spirit (or more likely, the linebreak) moves you.
Finally, we acknowledge our fixation on this service lately, as evidenced by the Overhaul series. But that's only because it does so much for you, costs nothing, and keeps improving. If you've not yet put your content into this bite-sized, widgety treat, this week's update offers you some tempting new recipes.
Comments
Hey, I really, really, really like this Headline Animator! I just put it on my blog tonight. Thanks for all your hard work. Good job!
Great mods! I'll definitely check it out and update my feeds. Thanks for the continued improvements in FeedBurner.
Hey guys, I really love this feature, thanks! One thing I would like to see, however, is an option to turn off animation and show only the most recent headline statically. I use this for email signatures and while it does attract attention, at some point it starts to get annoying having a little distracting animation while trying to read an email. Any chances we could get that option?
