More Features Added to the Free and Fabulous FeedBurner Email Service
We'll keep this short and to the point, much like summer in Chicago. Thank you for all of your comments and suggestions about how we can improve the FeedBurner Email service we originally launched in April. Your feedback served as the basis for the following new features:
Subscription management
- Activate, deactivate, and (now) delete individual email addresses
- Receive an optional email when people subscribe or unsubscribe
- Customize the subject line and body text of the confirmation email sent to subscribers after they opt-in to receive your feed by email. (Handy for using hundreds of languages other than FeedBurnerese.)
- Customize the subject line and title of the email that is sent to your subscribers
- Add an image or logo to appear at the top of HTML email messages
- Change body and headline text fonts, sizes and colors, as well as text link colors
- Choose your timezone
- Select a two-hour delivery window within which your daily digest will be sent
The familiarity of email makes this service a must-have for every feed. FeedBurner Email Subscriptions remains free of charge because we can't resist improving simple services that help you grow your subscriber base.
We realize there may be additional enhancements you still want to see and we will do our best to listen and respond. Check out the FAQ for more information and please send your suggestions, praise and gotchas using our primary Contact Form.

Great news. Your email service rocks!
Yay! You guys and gals are the best.
Hello,
Would you let us konw in a post update where are those new options accessible: can't find them on my account
By the way, feedburner rocks! Thanks

As ever guys,
you keep feeding us with new and improved features.
Your service is just amazing.
Interesting--I didn't know about this service. It seems very good since publishers can manage the list. But is there a guarantee from FB that it will remain private? I wouldn't want a list of my subscribers to be used for anything other than they sign up for--hearing from me.
Just switched all my subscription code from feedblitz to feedburner. You have a great product!

Our privacy policy is explicit on that point, we don't share your info or contact them other than to deliver your posts. More details here.

Is there a way to test ther service?
I would like to test the e-mail without sending it to everyone on my list.
You can test it - just create a duplicate feed, subscribe yourself, and see how it looks. Once you're happy with it, you can then activate it on the "real" feed, and commence e-mail delivery to anyone who's subscribed.
Hope that helps,
Rick
Well, this great. but is do have a concern.
this means we will get a separate reader count chiclet for the email readers only that don´t counts to the feedreader stats and chiclet?
Avatar: no, your email subscribers count toward your total feed subscriber number in your feed count chicklet. On your statistics dashboard within FeedBurner, we break out the total number by reader/aggregator and email so that you have that detail but it's all rolled into one total. No problem.
oh boy, it sounded like i meant i want it almalgamated with the total feed count, i meant that i think it should be separated counts, you could do a chiclet for the E-mail readers and also add the other registered Feed To Mail services tracked by Feedburner to that E-mail readers count.
But i know it´s just too much to ask, i guess i will have to keep the count myself in my own custom made chiclet.
anyway, here it is a post on the F.E.S

These are wonderful new options! The font menu is a little short, though. I'd like to be able to use Lucida Grande as my readers are mostly Mac-based and it's such a lovely font for text.
Thank you for the "localization" but couldn't you include also the word "posted " and an option for the date/time format. My feed is in german and it looks quite strange having german and english mixed.

Hi Didier
I understand your question - it took me a while to find the new options too... Click on Publicize and then Email Subscriptions. In the main window that appears, look for a tiny menu line that looks like this:
Subscription Management • Communication Preferences • Email Branding • Delivery Options
Thank you! - I knew there was a reason why I shouldn't switch to Feedblitz after all - these new option were worth waiting for!
Suggestions:
I'd like to have the option to delete unverified emails too - just to keep my list tidy...
Because I have a blog that's in Danish, I'd like to have the option to customize the text in the window that comes up when you click Subscribe and in the confirmation windows after that.
Thanks!
Yours is an incredibly wonderful company. Many thanks to Matt Shobe in particular for his endlessly patient and expert help to feed newsbies like moi. He has been positively saintly in terms of above and beyond customer service. You guys are fantastic!!
Well, thanks for a very good service.
the email subscription widget doesn't seem to work on wordpress...any ideas?
Just joined, thanks.
Hello, I was just wondering, will the Feedburner Email work for my Textpattern blog?
I seriously liked the new features, but I'm kinda hoping that there will be a landing page of sorts (like Feedblitz's) where I can direct readers to subscribe to my feed or something via Email.
Can't get the e-mail function to work on the Wordpress sidebar widgets, either. Wordpress e-mailed me that the system deletes code and that's why it won't work. Any ideas? I'd really like to add that feature. Thanks.
One question:
Wouldn't it be great to add a "subscribe via email"-box on the "http://feeds.feedburner.com/YourSite" page? Email subscription is a great option for many people who never heard of feeds or feed readers.
Make me a happy man
Couple of quick follow-ups to recent comments:
For WordPress.com (and other situations in which a form is impractical or not allowed), FeedBurner Email Subscriptions now offers a simple text link-only subscription code snippet. If you place this snippet in a WordPress.com "text" widget, it should appear as a live link on your blog's sidebar (and lead your visitors to your email service's subscription signup form). To get the link code, visit the Subscription Options section of the email service for any feed in your account.
On a related note, we're looking at integrating this same subscription link on the BrowserFriendly view of your email-enabled feed, too. Stay tuned — we'll try to get that one in there "between sets."
Trying to make all of you happy men (and women),
